Ben Tuten of Bristol helped lead the Georgia College and State University Bobcats to a 19-6 victory over Claflin University Sunday.
Tuten, third baseman for the Bobcats, went 4-for-4 to put a charge in the Bobcat offense.
The Bobcats set the tone with a seven-run second inning. GCSU sent 12 batters to the plate that inning, tallying five hits, also taking advantage of three walks and a hit batsman. Tuten had a run-scoring single in the frame.
The Bobcats are now 18-20 this season with a 15-9 record in the Peach Belt Conference.
Tuten is a 2018 graduate of Pierce County High School. He is the son of Loran and Melanie Tuten of Bristol.
