The Pierce County Bears football team fell behind the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs early Friday night, Oct. 14, in Bearville but were able to come from behind  winning 31-28. With the victory, the Bears improved to 6-1 overall this season and 2-1 in Region 3-AA. The Bears are scheduled to host the Windsor Forest Knights Friday, October 21. Kick-off is set for 7:30 p.m.

The match-up with Windsor Forest will be the fifth overall meeting between the two programs and third regular season match-up dating back to September 3, 2010. The Bears have faced the Knights in the first round of the state playoffs twice over the past four seasons winning 42-0 in 2021 and 49-21 in 2018. The Bears are 4-0 overall when facing the Knights. This will be the first  time the two have played a region contest.
