The Pierce County Bear football team hosted the Laney Wildcats on November 11, winning 42-14. The Bears improve to 10-1 overall. The Bears will host Berrien in the second round of the AA State Playoffs Friday, November 18. The game is set to start at 7:30 p.m.

The match-up with the Berrien Rebels will be the 12  contest between the two schools dating back to October 9, 1981. The Bears will look to even the series at six games each having won the last two match-ups. The most recent games between the two teams was played on October 3, 2003 and was a 33-19 win for the  Bears. Berrien is currently 7-4 overall and finished 3-3 in Region 1-AA. The Rebels lost to Clinch County 19-18 on August 19, beat Atkinson County 41-19 on August 26, won against Bacon 34-14 on September 2, defeated Lanier County 14-10 on September 9, lost to Worth County 56-46 on September 23, defeated Jeff Davis 42-24 on September 28, defeated Sumter County 38-36 on October 7, lost to Cook 45-28 on October 14, defeated Dodge County 35-29 on October 28, lost to Fitzgerald 34-20 on November 4 and defeated Spencer 43-36 on November 11.
