Saundra Jeanette Wasdin Miller

Saundra Jeanette Wasdin Miller, 75, of Jesup, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023, in Camden County.

Born in Blackshear February 20, 1948, she had lived in Florida for many years before moving to Jesup two years ago. She graduated from cosmetology school and had worked for many years as a hairdresser. She dearly loved her family and enjoyed traveling especially to the beach and the mountains.  

She was a daughter of the late Colon James and Rheba Jeanette Walker Wasdin. She was also preceded in death by both of her sisters, Cynthia Thornton and Nancy Wilson and a brother, Thomas Wasdin.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Robbie and Cyndi Roper, Branford, FL; her brother and sister-in-law, Dwayne and Sherry Wasdin, Patterson; two grandchildren, Jackie (Jason) Armstrong and Jamie (Rufus) Thomas; five great-grandchildren, Jessie Armstrong, Melody Mattilla, Sullivan Free, Ayasha Deem and Rufus Thomas, III and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 12, from the Lake Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the graveside immediately following the service.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
