WayGreen will offer a farm tour from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 18.
The WayGreen farm tour series will kick off at the Crossroad Farm in Bacon County. Â
Participants will tour the farm and learn about, farm application of high tunnels, succession plantings for continuous harvests, hands on use of small farm hand tools (wheel hoe and wire weeders) beginnings of pasture building for grazing and small farm produce processing facility. Chef Andy Thigpen will be on hand with fresh food samples using foods from the farm. Andy and Erin Douglas are the owners of Crossroad Farm where they grow fresh produce, micro greens and offer fresh eggs from their chickens. Â
