Cassie Davis
Cassie Davis has been hired as the new Pierce County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.
She started her position December 7.
Davis previously worked at Hospice Satilla as a Clinical Health Care Relations Representative for nearly one year.
Prior to Hospice Satilla, Davis spent two years working for Home Health Care as a marketer.
Davis built a wealth of marketing experience in both of her former positions.
Building meaningful relationships was Davis’ favorite part of both positions.
Davis said the opportunity to pursue and build relationships in the community on a wider scale than previously possible was a major motivating factor behind putting herself forward as a candidate for Chamber of Commerce Executive Director.
“I’m happy to be here and grateful for the opportunity,” said Davis.
Davis’ goals include growing chamber of commerce membership.
She is also expressed excitement to become involved with existing initiatives such as Leadership Pierce, the Pierce Student Leadership Academy and the Pierce Pathway Portal (P3) program.
Davis spoke of P3 in particular.
“I’m excited to help with that and hope I can bring more ideas to the table. It’s a great program,” she said.
Davis was hired via an interview panel comprised of Matt Carter— Executive Director of the Pierce County Industrial Development and Building Authority— and three chamber of commerce board members.
Carter reported the selection process lasted roughly a month.
Davis is the Vice-President of the Blackshear Rotary Club. She is a native of Waycross and has a daughter, Abigail, age 12.
Davis takes over the position from Sarah Gove, who resigned earlier this year to take a position with Memorial Satilla Health.
