The Exchange Club of Blackshear was honored to recognize Pierce County High Senior Belle Sinclair as Student of the Month for October, honoring her outstanding academic achievements, leadership and athletic success. Belle was joined by her parents Christopher and Amanda Sinclair along with her teacher Amy Day.
“I chose Mrs. Day because of how much she has taught me both in and out of the classroom. She is very knowledgeable in her field and shares as much wisdom and advice as she can with her students. She never fails to show up for her students when we need her. I admire and admire and respect her very much,” said Sinclair.
Day was very complimentary of Sinclair.
“Today we celebrate not just her accomplishments, but her character, her consistency, and her beautiful heart. Belle is the perfect role model, thinking before she speaks and listens with an empathetic heart. She leads with quite strength and grace. Belle, thank you for being a light in our school. Thank you for being you. I am especially proud to be your teacher-and your aunt,” said Day.
Sinclair currently has a 4.0 GPA while taking a rigorous course load which includes college-level and honors classes. She has completed the Early Childhood Education Pathway, scoring in the top national percentile, and was selected for the prestigious Pierce Teacher Academy Program.
In addition to her academic excellence, Sinclair is highly involved in school and community leadership. She serves as Vice President of Finances and Vice President of Public Relations for FCA. She is also the treasurer for the First Southern Bank Junior Board of Directors, member of BETA, Math Team, Hospice Satilla Junior Board of Directors and the Superintendent’s Advisory Council.
Sinclair’s talents extend beyond the classroom. She is an accomplished athlete and a three-time state champion on the golf team, demonstrating dedication, discipline and teamwork both academically and athletically. She was voted by her peers as “Most Intellectual”, received the Georgia Certificate of Merit and was also selected for Senior Homecoming Court.
Sinclair plans to attend Georgia Southern University Honor’s College after graduation.
The Exchange Club of Blackshear congratulates Belle on her exceptional accomplishments and recognizes her as a shining example of leadership, hard work and excellence within the Pierce County Community.
