About a month ago, I got a call from an old friend who asked me if I would be willing to come take pictures at their 100-year Higginbotham Reunion in Hickox (1925-2025).
I met Linton Higginbotham and his wife, Martha, not very long after I began my photography about 20 or 2 5 years ago. I was out taking pictures of their old Higginbotham homeplace and we have been friends ever since.
Linton called me and said he was expecting a large crowd. They were having a fish fry and I was also invited. I told him that I don’t usually shoot people, but I would try my best to be there.
