Students at Blackshear Elementary School (BES) recently had an exciting and educational experience during Community Helper Day, where all grade levels participated in hands-on learning about important careers that serve and protect the community.
Throughout the day, students rotated through interactive stations to learn about fire safety, emergency medical services (EMS), law enforcement and the vital work of the road department. Community helpers shared valuable information about their daily responsibilities and how they keep citizens safe.
Students also enjoyed a special dog training demonstration and learned how handlers work closely with their canine partners.
