TOWNSEND — Bruce Townsend, 69, passed away Thursday, January 31, 2025, at his residence.

Townsend was born in Brunswick, but lived in Townsend his whole life. He enjoyed being a shrimper before ret irement and liked to tinker with different things.

Townsend was preceded in death by his parents, Livingston Calhoun Townsend, Sr. and Ruthlyn McIntosh Townsend; and a brother, Cal Livingston, Jr.

He was a member of South Newport Baptist Church in Townsend.

Survivors are his sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna Ginn (Robert) of Townsend and Rene Jacobs (Travis) of Nahunta; nephews, Brian Ginn (Fain) of St. Simons Island and Joey Saunds (Kibrie) of Nahunta; niece, Ruthie Wesley (Will) of East Palatka, Fla; uncle and aunt, D.L. McIntosh (MaryAnn) of Shellman Bluff; several great nieces, nephews, cousins, and a companion, Beverly Young of Townsend.

A graveside service was held Saturday, February 1, 2025. Bro. Danny Stilwell officiated.
