Born in Dallas, Texas, Deese’s parents were Oscar Lafayette Deese, Jr. and Opal Myrtle Blair Deese, of Phenix City, Ala.; two brothers, Robert Allen Bayne of Macon and Christopher Odell Deese, of Phenix City, Aal.; and a sister, Sandra Guthrie.

Deese worked many years as a truck driver and was also a musician. He was of the Baptist faith and loved spending time with his family.

Survivors include his daughters, Mikayla Rose Deese and Tay Reed, both of Jacksonville, Fla.; his son, Dewayne Reed, also of Jacksonville, Fla.; his sister and brother-in-law, Suzau Winn (Zollie), of Waynesville; a brother, Clayton E. Deese of Berlin, Germany; and an honorary brother, Tom Nalls, of Phenix City, Ala.; four nephews and five nieces; also several cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.

No services will be held at this time.
