The Florida native had lived in Brunswick most of his adult life and attended Bay Harbor Church of God. Collins and his wife owned a paint contracting company. The outdoorsman loved to fish in the salt water and watch Georgia Bulldog and Florida State football.

His wife, Lynda Collins, preceded him in death; his parents, Frog and Rae Collins; a brother, Rodney Collins; a nephew, Michael Strait.

Survivors are a daughter, Jessica Collins (fiance’ Ben Gearhart) of Brunswick; a granddaughter, Makayla Gearhart; a sister, Sandy Stanfield of Hortense; a niece, Collins

Shiloh Strait; three nephews, Joshua Stanfield, Christopher and Johnny Collins; and several other extended family members.

Private services will be held by his family.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
