Adam Allen Eugene Ammons
Ammons was born in Blackshear. His parents are Richard Ammons and the late Mary Ann Davis Ammons, which was his adopted mother. Ammons was also preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ammons Hickox; father, Edward Howe; granny, Mary Crosby; two brothers, Brian Howe and Charles Crosby; and two aunts, Rita Howard and Cheryl Wainright.
Ammons worked for Paulk Timber as a logger. He was a member of Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church. Ammons loved the Georgia Bulldogs, working as a logger, playing the guitar, watching NASCAR racing, gun collecting, and most of all spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Candace Renee Howard Ammons of Nahunta; three sons, Devin Crosby (Alexis) of Waynesville, Dalton Ammons of Waynesville and Boss Ammons of Nahunta; two daughters, Elizabeth Chevalier of Missouri and Rachael Ammons of Nahunta; three grandchildren, Kinslee Crosby, Kalyn Crosby and Kamri Crosby; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Carter of Nahunta, April Beckham (Will) of Nahunta, Caroline Ammons of Waynesville, (FS) Amanda Tillman of Nahunta, Heather Ammons (Billy) of Nahunta; also several other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2 p.m., at Waynesville Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Wainright officiating.
