Robert Arnold ‘Bob’ Odam

HOBOKEN — Robert Arnold “Bob” Odam, 81 of Hoboken, died Monday morning, October 13, 2025)at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.

Odam was born in Centre, Alabama to the late Robert Royce Odam and Lill iam Kesler Odam. He made Hoboken his home for most of his life.

Odam was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a skilled small engine mechanic who owned and operated Bob’s Mower and Saw Shop. When he was not working, Odam enjoyed hunting, especially behind a pack of dogs and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Odam is preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia Dale Griffin Odam; and two siblings, Gnilmarg Odam and Jim Odam.

Odam is survived by his wife, Kathleen Odam of Hoboken; six children, Royce Odam and wife Angie of Hilliard, Fla., Kelly Cox and husband Ashley of Hoboken, James Griffin of Augusta, Cindy Carter and husband Larry of Hoboken, Nicholas Patten and wife Katie of Longwood, Fla., Kimberly Vandergrift and husband Adam of St. Simons Island; many grandchildren, Skylar Mitchell, Colby Odam, Blayne Odam, Braydan Odam, Mallory Odam, Paisley Cox, Lilly Cox, Zailey Cox, Doc Patten, Waylon Patten, Bertie Kate Patten, Pilot Patten, Riley Vandergrift, Madison Vandergrift, Cameron Vandergrift, Brett Crews, Lexi Sweat and husband Hunte, Levy, Chase and Lainee; great-grandchildren, Holland, Houston, Jayce, Carmena, Brooke, Bowie and Abagail; a sister, Kelly Sowell of Norman Park, Ga.; a special friend, Kenny Johns and wife Cheryl of Waycross; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service was held Friday, October 17, 2025 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial followed in High Bluff Cemetery.
