WAVERLY — Kevin Del Edgy, 55 of Waverly, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025 at his parent’s residence following an extended illness.

Born in Brunswick, Edgy’s parents are Claude Lamar Edgy and Theresa Ellis Edgy. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Damon Edgy and Guy Edgy; and several uncles and aunts.

Edgy was a member of King Memorial Baptist Church. He worked many years in maintenance for Georgia Pacific. Edgy loved buying vehicles, riding his Can-Am and visiting with his mama, daddy and sister.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Brawton Edgy (Robyn) of Rincon, Ga.; a granddaughter, Zara Morgan Edgy; his parents, Claude and Theresa Edgy of Waverly; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Martin Edgy of Jesup and Zane Edgy (Kaitlyn, of Waverly; a sister and brother-in-law, Shamra Kurrasch (Chris),of Waynesville; also several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 11 a.m., at King Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Rowell and Rev. Mike Yawn officiating.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Homeward Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Claude Edgy, Brawton Edgy, Zane Edgy, Ty Edgy, Martin Edgy and Chris Kurrasch.
