John Harley ‘J.H.’ Cason Sr.
Born June 6, 1946, in Patterson, he was a son of the late John Randall and Edna Boyett Cason. Living all his life in Pierce County, he was a 1966 graduate of Patterson High School and worked as a mechanic during his younger years for Waters Ford before working as a carpenter for JP Barnard Construction Company.
He was also a longtime farmer and enjoyed growing and tending to his vegetable garden each year.
He was Pine Grove Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Davis and two brothers, Ronnie Cason and Raymond Cason a member of Baptist Cason.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret “Margie” Tippins Cason, Blackshear; two sons, Harley Cason (wife Rebecca), Patterson and Patrick Cason (wife Heather), Blackshear; six grandchildren, Blaine (Maisy) Cason, Cruz Cason, Zayne Cason, Brayden Cason, Everlee Cason and Braely Luke and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 1, from the Pine Grove Baptist Church.
Interment followed in the Offerman Cemetery.
