Dowling is survived by his children Valerie Hickox, Vanessa Thrift (Gage), and Reb ecca Dowling; several grandchildren; siblings, Terry Dowling (Beth), Tony Dowling (Lisa); stepmother, Viola Dowling; and numerous other family members.

Dowling predeceased by his parents, JoAnn and Sidney Thompson, and Estees Dowling.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
