Spivey served as EMS director for six years from 20132019.

He dedicated 33 years as an EMT, Paramedic and EMS Director with the majority of his career — 23 years— with Pierce County EMS. He also served in Glynn and Brantley Counties.

Spivey was also known as a dedicated family man and faithful Christian. He enjoyed fishing and outdoor adventures such as hiking and camping. He is remembered for his kindness, sense of humor and wholehearted love.

A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. this Sunday, July 13, from the Destination Church in Blackshear.
