WAYCROSS — Mr. Danny E. Mock, Sr., 74, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 at his residence in Waycross following an extended illness.

Mock was born in Waycross to the late Eulis Mock and Lela Merle Mc-Clellan Mock. He retired as a truck driver for the United States Postal Service after 32 years of service. Mock was also a member of the Waycross Okefenokee Lions Club.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Taylor; and best friend, Joey Sapp.

Mock is survived by his wife, Nancy Sweat Mock of Waycross; three children, Danny E. Mock, Jr. (Angie) of Hoboken, Sirena Cady (Trent) of Waycross and Dennis C. Mock (Crystal) of Waycross; seven grandchildren, Brittany Harris (Austin), Brooke Williams (Michael), Anna Thrift (Cody), Dylan Mock, Hunter Mock, Amber Mock and Tabitha Barnard (Rocky); 11 great grandchildren; one sister, Janis Barber (James) of Douglas; two special sisters-in-law, Shirley S. Taylor and Debbie S. Smith (Bill); a dear family friend, Angel Sapp; and his special coffee drinking friends.

The family will be receiving friends today (Wednesday, June 11, 2025) at Music Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
