Norma Jean (Sutton-Adams) Cochran PANAMA CITY, Fla. — Norma Jean (Sutton-Adams) Cochran, age 91, of Panama City, Fla., passed away Friday, May 9, 2025.

Mrs. Cochran was born January 6, 1934, to W.A. and Mary Evelyn (Pike) Sutton in St. Petersburg, Fla. Her family relocated to Waycross where she attended Waycross High School and was a majorette with the band.

During that time, she met her husband, James Adams, and they were married for many years and had five children.

In 1979, Mrs. Cochran moved to Oklahoma where she met her second husband, Carl Cochran. They celebrated 22 years together before he passed in 2006.

Mrs. Cochran worked in banking and later in medical transcription. She and Carl retired and moved to Seadrift, Texas, until his death. She eventually moved to Panama City, Fla., to be close to her children and their families.

Mrs. Cochran had an extremely big, loving and giving heart especially when it came to her family, her animals and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, W.A. and Mary Evelyn (Pike) Sutton; her husband Carl Monroe Cochran; her children, Infant Adams, James Lawerence “Larry” Adams Jr., and Alisa “Lisa” Diane Clark; and their father, James Lawerence Adams, Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are sons, David Adams and Daniel “Danny” and his wife, Lauree Adams; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was blessed with a large family and was loved by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Expressions of sympathy can be in the form of a donation to your local animal rescue in her name.
