Born June 11, 1959, in Tampa, Florida, he was a son of Bertha Smith Blankenship and the late Robert Rubin Blankenship. He lived most of his life in Florida before moving to Pierce County in 2020. He was a longtime steel detailer and retired from Steel and Metal Systems, Inc. in Blackshear.

He was a member of the Rack and Stack Hunting Club in Scotland and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Lana Allen Blankenship, Blackshear; four children, Traci Blank enship, Houston, TX, Ashley Blankens hip, Tampa, FL, Mic hael Stokes, Ocala, FL and Heather Price of New Hampshire; eight grandchildren; his mother, Bertha Smith Blankenship, Cairo; sister, Priscilla Strickland (husband Robert), Cairo and several other relatives.

A time of visitation and remembrance was held from 10:30 a.m.noon Saturday, May 24, at the funeral home.
