Edna Steedley Mercer. He was a parts loader with General Housing.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Alan Mercer, Elden Mercer, and Joseph Mercer.

He is survived by his wife, Ruby Mercer of Waycross; four children, Wendy Mercer of Waycross, Tony Spence (Sabrina) of Douglasville, Ga., Jessica Moore (Matthew) of Waycross, and Kylie Henderson (Freddie) of Waycross ; six grandchildren, Jayden Spence, Cassidy Walker, Brantley Moore, Charlie Crawford, Evan Henderson, and Ronni Henderson; four great grandchildren, Bayne, Kaden, Taylon, and Hank; his grand pups, Bella, Dolly, and Duke; a special nephew, Chase Spence; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
