WAYCROSS — Lonnie Michael Beasley, 65, of Waycross, died Thursday afternoon, May 15, 2025, at Hospice Satilla following an extended illness.

Beasley was born in Oak Park, Ga., to the late Calvin Beasley and Ora Williamson Beasley. He moved to Waycross in 2000 where he met the love of his life, Allen Hamilton, with whom he married June 24, 2017.

Beasley was a man who never met a stranger. To know him, you couldn’t help but to love him. He loved to work in the yard and plant flowers, especially his roses and amarillos. Beasley was one in a million and one who adored his nieces, nephews and grandsons.

He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Ora Beasley; sisters, Gail Cloud and Joyce Oliva; brothers, Ricky, Tony, Don, Arnold and Gary Beasley.

He is survived by his husband of almost 26 years, Allen Hamilton; daughter, Crystal Beasley Underwood (husband William); grandsons, Will, Roman and Trysten; brother, Wayne Beasley; several nieces, nephews; best friends, Susan Grams and Ella Wilson; and last but not least, his two Boston Terriers, Malcom and Nae Nae.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 20 at Grace Episcopal Church. Internment followed in the church columbarium.
