Dorothy Ann ‘Dot’ Pittman Waldron
JESUP — Dorothy Ann “Dot” Pittman Waldron, 81 of Jesup, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2025.
The Ware County native had lived in Jesup most of her life and was a member of Northside Bible Baptist Church. She assisted her husband in operating Waldron’s Grocery Store and Maryland Fried Chicken Restaurant.
Her love was teaching Sunday School, cooking for her family, and being “Nanny” Dot”.
Mrs. Waldron was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Ben “Odis” Waldron, Sr. and several siblings.
Survivors are two sons, Benny (Tina) Waldron of Alston and Keith (Alicia) Waldron of Jesup; an adopted-in-love son, Jeff Richardson; five grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; a sister, Ruthie (Clint) Pittman Taylor of Tennessee.
A funeral service was held Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Benny and Keith Waldron and Pastor Anthony Hipps officiating.
Interment followed in the Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brett Waldron, Justus Kidd, Phillip Kidd, Jaxon Kidd, Joe Chandler and Chance Horne.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff of Bayview Nursing Home.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
