Corbett was born June 10, 1955, in Waycross to the late David Lemuel Corbett, Sr. and Ernestine Crosby Corbett. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and made Waycross his home for most of his life.

Corbett was also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Thomas B. “Buck” Crosby and Lillie Melvin Crosby, and his paternal grandparents, Newsome E. Corbett, Thomas Garland Earnest and Frances “Fannie” Thomas Earnest.

He is survived by his spouse, Linda Corbett; daughter, Deborah Corbett Holmes; son, David Corbett; four grandchildren; sisters, Marrion Phipps (Tom), Wanda Petersen (Roney) and Mary Foster (Garry); as well as numerous friends and extended

A graveside service was held at Oakland Cemetery, Friday, March 28. Officiating was the Rev. David Ham.
