She was born June 20, 1936 in Waycross to the late Willie Patterson and Eddie Mae Davis Patt erson. Mrs. Seym our grew up in Wayc ross, graduated from Waycross High School, and was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church. At the age of 19, she moved to New York where she made her home for more than 60 years and was a member of Little Rock Baptist Church in Brownsville, NY. At the age of 80, she moved back to Waycross and became an honorary member of Kingdom Dominion Ministries International. Mrs. Seymour worked in childcare her entire life, having helped raise many children other than her own.

In addition to her parents, she also was preceded in death by her husband, William Herman Seymour, Jr.; her children, Shelby Smith, Cynthia Smith and Samuel Smith; and siblings, Willie Smith, Rudolph Smith and Samuel Patterson.

Survivors include her children, Vennette Smith of Blackshear, Anthony Smith of Waycross, Terri Smith of Waycross, Lisa Hylton (Errol) of Inwood, N.Y., Sharon Times of Baltimore, Md., and Rose Times of Augusta; 18 prime grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and god-children; siblings, Alphonso Patterson (Ronzie), Eddie Kate Green, Kleartis Patterson all of Waycross, and Lamar Patterson (Leila) of Forrest Hills, N.Y.; sisterin- law, Joyce Smith of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 7 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends
