The Wayne County native was a retired truck driver and homemaker. She enjoyed her computer games and being with her family.

Mrs. Sanders was predeceased by her parents, George and Lucy Sears;

brothers, Jimmy and Wiley Sears; sisters, Marian Pickren and Jean Underwood; and her daughter, Tina Garner.

Survivors are her husband, Kenneth Sanders of Waynesville; a son, Ted (Amy) Hires, Jr., of Gainesville, Fla.; a daughter, Selena (Bill) Johnson of Brunswick; four grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Memorial services are being held by her family.

Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup was in charge of arrangements.
