DOUGLAS — A Waycross teenager was one of four teens arrested by the GBI in connection to the shooting of a Coffee County man.
Kyvian Junious, 17 of Waycross, was taken into custody February 2 by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. Junious was charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime of Felony Murder and the Offense of Drive-by Shooting.
He was arrested and charged in connection to the shooting of Brandon Camacho, age 20, of Coffee County. The other suspects charged were teenagers from Fitzgerald.
Clareisha Belmer, 17, 18-year-old Anthony Ewing and 19-year-old Keyshawn Fluellan all were also charged with Aggravated Assault, Aggravated Battery, Conspiracy to Commit a Crime of Felony Murder, and the Offense of Drive-by Shooting.
According to the GBI press release, Coffee County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported shooting on Highway 158 just inside of Coffee County.
Camacho was driving a dark grey GMC Terrain traveling from Ware County at approximately 2 a.m. He was approached by a silver Chevrolet Tahoe with a black brush guard.
Occupants of the Tahoe fired numerous shots into the Terrain, hitting Camacho. He was seriously injured and taken to the Coffee County Medical Center in Douglas.
Arrestees were booked into the Coffee County Jail.
The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office requested the GBI to assist in the investigation along with the Waycross Police Department and the Ware County Sheriff’s Office.
