Aletha Todd, 88, of Blackshear passed away Thursday, February 5, 2026, at her residence surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice Satilla.
A native of Wayne County, she had lived in Jesup most of her life before moving to Blackshear eight years ago. She was a seamstress working for Manhattan Industries, Parks Manufacturing and Barbara Company. She loved taking care of her family and spending time with them.
She was a member of Hoboken Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Todd; her daughter, Frances Anderson; her siblings, Clyde, Eackman, Leonard, Mark and Ronald Thompson, Ann McReady and Bobbie Linto.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Richard Crocker, Gail and Alvin Dixon and Barbara Yocum; her siblings, Lillian Harris, Vonnie Massey and Jerry Thompson; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at the Hoboken Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. from the Hoboken Baptist Church with the Rev. Ben Glosson officiating.
Graveside services will be at held at 4 p.m. that afternoon at the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Crocker officiating.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Scott, James Anderson, Carson Anderson, AJ Dixon and Lane Dixon.
Memorials may be given to Hospice Satilla.
