WAYCROSS — The Rev. Joseph Francis Romigh, Jr., 85, of Waycross, died Friday evening, January 23, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Riverside in Jacksonville, Fla.
He was born in New Brighton, Penn., to the late Joseph Francis Romigh, Sr., and Harriett Harmon Romigh. Rev. Romigh served as a United Methodist Church pastor for 31 years throughout the state of Georgia. He served in Folkston, Chester, Tennille, Roberta, Colquitt and Barrow County. He and his wife, Patricia, settled back in Waycross three years ago. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Todd Daniel Reynolds.
The Rev. Romigh is survived by his wife, Patricia Romigh of Waycross; three children, Robin Hodge of Waycross, Aaron Romigh (Christina) of
Romigh
Boulder, Colorado, and Dale Davis (Michelle) of Lexington, Ky.; four grandchildren, Alli Sweat (Dusty), Jacob Altman, Michael Reynolds, and Henry Romigh; five great grandchildren, Madison Sweat, Isabella Sweat, Tucker Sweat, Jackson Altman, Joshua Altman; one sister, Kay Murphy (Ralph); and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service was held January 30 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. A burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
