Ebony Ann Brown was sentenced last week to 20 years with five to serve in prison on fentanyl trafficking charges.
Brown entered her guilty plea before Superior Court Judge Jeffrey Kight in Pierce County Superior Court last Monday, Jan. 26.
Prosector Taylor Harsh of the Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office represented the people of the State of Georgia. Defense attorney Deleigh Poole of Waycross represented Brown.
A fellow defendant in the case, Tezmond Mitchell, pled earlier this year to a count of misdemeanor possession of marijuana and was sentnenced to 12 months in jail and received credit for time already served.
Mitchell entered his plea before Judge Kight Tuesday, Jan. 7.
The case was prosecuted by Ian Sansot of the Waycross Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
Mitchell was represented by Waycross Defense Attorney Adam Craft.
Brown and Mitchell were arrested Friday, January 17, 2025 during a traffic stop.
