Wayne County High School (WCHS) teacher Katie Ward recently received a LifeChanger certificate from WCHS principal Brett McDaniel for being nominatedforLifeChangeroftheYear.LifeChanger of the Year is a national recognition program that honors K-12 educators and school employees for “making a difference in the lives of students by exemplifying excellence,positiveinfluenceandleadership.” Ward is now eligible to receive one of this year’s 17 cash prizes for up to $20,000. Ward is a 1998 graduate of Pierce County High School and is the daughter of Elaine Stephens of Blackshear and the late Coach John Stephens.
