BEARVILLE — Montgomery County outscored Pierce County in each of the final three periods to rally for a 41-34 victory in junior varsity action Saturday.
The Eagles overcame a two-point deficit after one period, outpointing PCHS by nine points the rest of the way.
The Bears claimed a 14-12 advantage at the end of the opening quarter. Montgomery County used a 95 scoring advantage in the second stanza to take a 21-19 lead at intermission.
The visitors doubled their margin by the end of the third period, outscoring PCHS 9-7 to take a 3026 lead to the final quarter. Montgomery County finished the game by outscoring the Bears 11-8 in the fourth quarter.
D.J. Moody (two treys) led the Bears with 17 points. Dawson Brady contributed nine points while Will Higginson netted four points. Miles Pitts and Noah Cochran chipped in two points apiece.
