Brantley FFA Alumni Pheasant Shoot is Saturday, January 31

RAYBON — The Brantley FFA Alumni Pheasant Shoot is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Strickland’s Tractor Shed in Raybon.

Breakfast and check in is at 9 .m. The morning shoot is scheduled for 10 a.m. and the afternoon shoot begins at 2 p.m. Lunch will be held at 12 p.m.

The cost is $250 per shooter for the 200-bird shoot. There will be 16 stations for 32 shooters. Registration includes entry to win a gun from Stanley Branch Armory.

No alcoholic beverages are allowed. Dogs and ATVs are allowed. Contestants provide their own ammunition.

Satilla Riverkeeper cleanup scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 21

NAHUNTA — The Satilla Riverkeeper will hold a river cleanup from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, at various locations along the Satilla River.

Satilla Riverkeeper announces benefit gala at Blueberry Hill

NAHUNTA — The Satilla Riverkeeper will hold a Spring Gala at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at the Blueberry Hill Event Venue, 385 Lynn Holly Lane, Hoboken.

The evening will include dinner, music, an open bar, and both a live auction and a silent auction. Tickets are $150 per person.

All proceeds will support the Satilla Riverkeeper’s mission to protect the Satilla River.

OHC’s Saturday, February 7 book festival has vendor spots open

WAYCROSS — The Okefenokee Heritage Center’s “We Love Literacy Book” Festival still has a few vendor spots available.

The event will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 7, at OHC, 1460 N. Augusta Ave. There is no vendor fee.
