WAYCROSS — Mr. James Randall “Randy” Johns, 58, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Memorial Satilla Health.
Born September 24, 1967 in Waycross, Johns was a lifelong resident of the area and a 1985 graduate of Ware County High School.
He was formerly employed by Milliken and Company, Sundance Boats, and CSX Railroad, where he worked for more than 20 years. In recent years, Johns owned and operated Johns Hay Farm alongside his mother. He greatly enjoyed hay farming and hauling hay
Johns
and was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist faith.
Johns was preceded in death by his father, Willie Earl Johns; his brother, Ricky Earl Johns; his maternal grandparents, James B. and Viola Roberson; and his paternal grandparents, Lois and Christine Johns.
Survivors include his girlfriend, Kaci Hartley of Hoboken; his mother, Mary Kay Roberson Johns of Waycross; foster brother, Freddy Smith (Teresa); aunts and uncles, Donna and Wes Mc-Quaig of Jacksonville, Fla., Barbara Ann Wall of Pearson, Gail Johns of Waycross and Wanda Lee of Statesboro; a special aunt, Sue Rainey of Waycross; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
