MSH gives $10K in support of ‘Night to Shine Waycross’

Memorial Satilla Health recently presented a $10,000 donation to support “Night to Shine Waycross” for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration honoring individuals with special needs.

The event will take place Friday, February 13. It is being hosted by Destination Church, First Baptist Church of Blackshear and Zion Hill Free Will Baptist Church, united as “ONE CHURCH,” in partnership with the Tim Tebow Foundation.

“Night to Shine” is a worldwide event created to honor and celebrate people with disabilities. Over the past 11 years, Night to Shine has been hosted by hundreds of churches across the globe, providing more than half a million guest experiences and over one million volunteer experiences.

“Night to Shine Waycross” will mark its fourth annual celebration, hosted at First Baptist Church of Blackshear. Organizers anticipate welcoming more than 140 honored guests and 300 volunteers for an evening designed to create a oncein- a-lifetime experience. The event will feature a red-carpet entrance complete with paparazzi, hair and makeup stations, shoeshines, party bus rides, karaoke, dancing, gifts, a catered dinner, a sensory room, and a respite room for parents and caregivers.

The night will conclude with a special crowning ceremony, honoring each guest as a King or Queen.

“‘Night to Shine’ reflects the heart of our community and our mission to care for others with compassion and dignity,” said Damon Barrett, CEO of Memorial Satilla Health. “We are proud to support an event that celebrates the unique value of every individual and brings together volunteers, families, and churches to create a truly meaningful experience for people with special needs.”
