Upgrades planned for eight rail crossings starting Feb. 2

Eight railway crossings have been targeted for maintenance in the coming weeks, CSX Transportation recently announced, Work begins Monday, February 2 on the selected at-grade crossings along parts of the CSX Fitzgerald subdivision. Work is expected to take two weeks, tentatively ending Friday, February 13 weather permitting.

Crossings will be closed between two and five days depending on the type of maintenance they are to receive, CSX said. Closure times are the best approximation CSX can provide at this time.

Dates are subject to change with or without notice due to many of the unforeseen circumstances that can occur once work begins.

With the one way in/out crossings, CSX will work as diligently as possible to have those accessible within a 24-hour period (or less).
