Patricia Prater Pravatt

WAYCROSS — Mrs. Patricia Prater Prevatt, 88, of Waycross, died Monday evening, January 19, 2026, at Harborview Pierce County after an extended

illness.

She was born in Madison, Fla., to the late Floyd Guy Prater and Maxine Cobb Prater. Mrs. Prevatt has made her home in Waycross since 1969.

She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who cherished each and every moment she was able to spend with her family.

Mrs. Prevatt was an active member of First Presbyterian Church where she served in numerous capacities throughout the years. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, active in numerous local garden clubs and an avid bridge player. She served on the Board of Directors at the Waycross/Ware County Public Library and Okefenokee Technical College.

Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wilson Prevatt; two daughters, Susan Fullard and Lorri Stewart; and one grandson, David Guy “Gus” Fullard.

Mrs. Prevatt is survived by two children, Debra Tillman (Dorsey) of Waycross, David K. Prevatt (Pam) of Blackshear; grandchildren, Zack Bowman (Nancy) of Waycross, Rebecca Brown (B.J.) of Blackshear, Matt Stewart of Waycross, Megan Rigsby (Taylor) of Perry, Ga., and Jordan Prevatt (Charlie Barnard) of Waycross; great grandchildren, Floyd Guy Fullard, Bela Nicole Fullard, Katie Elizabeth Bowman, Bradley Jackson Brown, Marleigh Kate Brown, Harper Rigsby, and Henry Rigsby; as well as numerous other relatives.

The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to the nurses and staff at Harborview Pierce County for the exceptional care given to Mrs. Prevatt during her time there.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 601 Hill Street, Waycross, 31501.

Memorialization is by cremation.
