WAYCROSS — Mr. Carl Nolte, 72, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026, at his residence following a brief illness.
He was born February 2, 1953, in Los Angeles. Nolte was an active member of Zion Hill Bapt ist Church in Millwood. He was employed for 27 years with Wally’s Food Center in Waycross, and retired Nolte
from Coffee Correctional Facility in Nicholls after 20 years of service.
Nolte was preceded in death by his father, Fred Nolte, and his beloved granddaughter, Olivia Ray.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Jeannie Edwards Nolte of Waycross; daughters, Jeri Ray (Scott) of Waycross and Carli Petit (Chris) of Marion, N.C.; grandson, Jackson Ray; mother, Ruth Lystra Nolte of Fleming Island, Fla.; sister, Jennie Nolte of Fleming Island; sister-in-law, Wendy Fuchs (Greg) of Waycross; nephew, Jason Wallace (Samantha) of Jacksonville, Fla.; niece, Jennifer Cothern (Brian) of Fleming Island; and numerous other relatives.
Memorialization is by cremation without any services.
