THOMASVILLE — Homestanding Thomasville copped a Region 1-A twinbill sweep here Saturday over Brantley County.
The Lady Bulldogs (143 overall, 5-2 region) followed a 54-36 region win at sixth-ranked and unbeaten Bacon County Friday night with a 58-42 victory over the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s ninth-ranked Lady Herons (14-5, 5-4), losers of two straight, January 24. Thomasville is riding a seven-game winning streak since falling 58-54 in overtime January 9 at Brantley County winning by an average of 22.6 points per game.
BCHS's two-game skid is its second since the calender changed to 2026. The Lady Herons, who fell Tuesday, January 20 to Bacon County in a Top 10 matchup, fell January 2 to visiting Fitzgerald and January 3 at Bacon County.
