Carolyn Sue Walker Carver, 73, of Blackshear, passed away early Saturday morning, January 24, 2026, at Southeast Georgia Health System in Brunswick following an extended illness.

Born August 12, 1952, in Talladega, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Claude Franklin and Mary Daisy Grizzell Walker. She lived in Ohatchee, Alabama before moving to Baxley as a child and attended Appling County High School. She lived most of her adult life in Blackshear.
She had been a long-time housewife but also helped her husband as the secretary and bookkeeper for their family business, Way Car Enterprise. She was a member of Miles Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Gatlin W. Roble and a brother, Claude Pate Walker.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Wayne Robert Carver Sr., Blackshear; two children, William Franklin Lowman, Browntown and Suzanne Lowman Barber (husband Jerry), Blackshear; three step-children, Angela Carver Dryden (husband Chris), Douglas, Kristie Garber, Blackshear and Wayne Robert Carver, Jr. (wife Holly), Douglas; 16 grandchildren, Brenna George, Britna Lowman, Alexandria Jones, Billy Lowman, Cody Robles, Tyler Boatwright, Cole Boatwright, Will Barber, Elaina Willis, Brittany Burch, Katelynn Jones, Wayne “Bud” Carver III, Eli Smith, Paige Bowers, Sydney Dryden and Tyler Dryden; 42 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Frankie Walker Jackson, Elizabeth Walker Davis and Corliss Walker Warren; a brother, Rickey Walker (wife Jackie) and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the High Bluff Cemetery in Brantley County.
