BEARVILLE — Visiting Tattnall County made 18 treys here in sweeping Saturday's Region 3-AA matchup with PCHS.
The Lady Warriors (8-7 overall, 2-1 region) ended a three-game-losing streak in the January 17 opener beating the Lady Bears (3-11, 1-3) 56-36.
The Warriors (4-14, 3-0), who entered having lost seven of their last nine games, rallied in the final period to beat the Bears (4-10, 1-3). PCHS led entering the final period for the second straight night.
Pierce County is off until Friday, January 23 when it travels to Cordele to face region foe Crisp County. Montgomery County visits Saturday, January 24 with a 4:30 p.m. tip.
PCHS travels Monday, January 26 to Clinch County. Pierce County puts a wrap on January with Cook coming to town Friday, January 30 for a 6 p.m. tip off ahead of a Saturday, January 31 date in Caney Bay with Brantley County with varsity action starting at 6:30 p.m.
Tattnall County .........................56 Lady Bears................................36 The Lady Warriors jumped out a 14point first quarter lead and were never headed finishing the game with a scoring advantage in every quarter against PCHS.
Tattnall County outscored the Lady Bears 30-6 from behind the arc holding a 10-2 made advantage.
The visitors bolted out to a 16-2 advantage by the end of the first eight minutes. The Lady Warriors outscored Pierce County 12-9 in the second period to extend the margin to 28-11 at the break.
Tattnall County added two points to its margin through three quarters outscoring the Lady Bears 16-14 in building a 4425 advantage. The Lady Warriors closed out the game outscoring PCHS 12-11 over the final eight minutes.
Madi McGatha (two treys) paced the Lady Bears scoring a game-high 16 points. Claire Murray netted 12 of her 14 points in the second half. Alayna Bell, Isabella Marx and Ansley Hutcheson followed with two points apiece.
Rihanna Bess (trey) led three Tattnall County players in double-figures finishing with a team-best 15 points. Nashyia Grubbs (four treys) and Jaylin Kennedy (two treys) each contributed 12 points.

Tattnall County jumped out to a 17-14 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Warriors outpointed PCHS 16-11 in the second stanza to extend the margin to 33-25 at intermission.
The Bears stormed out of the break outscoring the visitors 17-7 to take a 42-40 lead into the final period. Tattnall County regrouped outpointing the Bears 16-6 to claim the victory.
Jamil Strickland recorded his second straight 20-point outing scoring 12 of his gamehigh 20 points in the first half. Nigel Brown (trey) was next in the scoring column with 14 points.
Jikeyse McGauley (trey) and D.J. Brown added five points and four points respectively. Chezz Armstrong chipped in three points with Shavez Warren netting two points.
