BEARVILLE — Visiting Tattnall County claimed a sweep of Pierce County in jayvee action Saturday.

The Lady Warriors buried eight treys in a 43-24 win over the Lady Bears in the January 17 opener. The Warriors followed with a 43-34 decision in the second game.

Tattnall Co.............43 Lady Bears ............24 The visitors pulled away from a three-point halftime lead doubling up the Lady Bears 32-16 in the second half to notch the win.

Tattnall County built a 10-2 lead by the end of the first period. PCHS outscored the Lady Warriors 6-1 in the second stanza closing the deficit to 11-8 at the break.

The visitors doubled up the Lady Bears in each of the final two stanzas. The Lady Warriors used a 14-7 scoring advantage in the third canto to extend the margin to 25-15. They outpointed PCHS 18-9 in the fourth period for the final margin.

Patience Smith topped the Lady Bears with eight points. Kamil Strickland and Jose'ziah James canned six points apiece. Aubree Wilkins and Azalea Mobley bagged two points each.

Tattnall County's Kirayah Goodie claimed game-high scoring laurels with 18 points. She drained four of the Lady Warriors' eight treys.

Tattnall County ..................43 Bears..................................34 Tattnall County outscored the Bears in each of the final three periods in rallying from a threepoint deficit.

PCHS posted a 12-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. The Warriors used a 14-8 scoring advantage in the second stanza to grab a 23-20 advantage at intermission.

Tattnall County doubled its margin by the end of the third period outscoring the Bears 11-8 for a 3428 lead. The Warriors held off PCHS with a 9-6 scoring advantage in the final stanza for the nine-point win.

The Bears were led by the 12 points of D.J. Moody (two treys). Maverick Pitts (trey) was next with nine points with Miles Pitts (two treys) adding six points.

Damian Gomez (trey) and Will Higginson (trey) each netted three points. Dawson Brady converted a free throw.

Tattnall County's Zamond Grant (four treys) scored a game-high 17 points.
