UNDATED — Geraldine “Gerri” Crews Boyett, 79, died early Friday morning, January 14, 2026 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Boyett was a native and life-long resident of Brantley County. She was the wife of the late Joe Kenneth “Kenny” Boyett, Sr., and daughter of the late Eldon Crews and Gladys Jacobs Crews. Mrs. Boyett was also preceded in death by her favorite dog and companion, Bella.
She was a 1965 graduate of Hoboken High School and completed the Cosmetology program at Waycross-Ware Tech. Mrs. Boyett was a parapro with the Waycross School and Ware County School Systems retiring in 2002 after 29 years of service. She worked mostly with Williams Heights and McDonald Street Schools.

were cooking, shopping at Belks and eating at Olive Garden Restaurant. She is remembered as one who loved helping people. Mrs. Boyett, along with Janice Norwood, operated Janice and Gerri's Catering and catered meals for many different functions.
Mrs. Boyett was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and the Class of Love Sunday School Class.
Survivors include her daughter, Krystal Boyett Seiz (husband Allen) of Canton, Ga.; a son, Joey Boyett (wife Gloria) of Brantley County; five grandsons: Kris Boyett (Morgan), Jordan Boyett (Dallas), Jay Boyett (Amory), Hudson Seiz, and Davis Seiz; seven great grandchildren: MaKenzie Boyett, Madilyn Boyett, Brantley Boyett, Braylee Boyett, Demri Boyett, Blaze Boyett and Griffin Boyett; a sister and caretaker, Lois Martin of Brantley County; three brothers, Ferrell Crews, Eddie Crews and Tommy Crews (Martha) all of Hoboken; two sisters-in-law, Patty Karr of Metter and Elise Boyett of Statesboro; a special friend, Janice Norwood; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service was held Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
Burial followed in Hoboken City Cemetery.
Members of the Class of Love Sunday School Class and members of the 1965 graduating class of Hoboken High School were asked to serve as honorary pallbearers.
