Adam Herrin was recognized as the 2025 Ware County Employee of the Year during last week’s meeting of the Ware County Commission.

Herrin, who was chosen the county’s Employee of the Month in April, was honored after voting by the Human Resources Committee. Acting Airport Manager Dee Meadows presented the award during the commission’s January 13 meeting.

The nomination letter for Employee of the Month described Herrin, who’s a Flight Line Specialist with the Waycross-Ware County Airport, as a person with “dedication to excellence, exceptional customer service, proactive attitude and commitment to the airport.”

“Adam consistently demonstrates excellence in all aspects of his role and is an invaluable asset to our team and the airport as a whole,” the letter continued. “His meticulous attention to detail in all his daily activities is evident and contributes significantly to the smooth and safe operation of our flight line.

“What truly sets Adam apart is his unwavering commitment to customer service and his exceptional rapport with both customers and fellow staff members. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that every customer feels welcomed and valued, treating them as if they were family.

“His warm greetings and sincere ‘thank you for stopping in’ leave a lasting positive impression. This dedication extends to his colleagues, as Adam is always willing to lend a hand and consistently leads by example, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

“Furthermore, Adam’s commitment extends beyond his core responsibilities. He often takes the initiative to do extra for the airport, demonstrating a genuine care and pride in our facility. His proactive approach and willingness to go the extra mile contribute significantly to the overall success and positive image of Waycross/Ware County Airport.”for this recognition.”
