Ms. Nettles was born August 13, 1967, in Valdosta to Howard Edward Cox, Sr. and Patricia Ann Strickland Cox. She had lived in Brunswick since 1969, attending Glynn County Schools and graduating with the Class of 1985 from Brunswick High School.

Ms. Nettles had worked at the Georgia Pine Federal Credit Union, New Life Sanctuary, and most recently with the Glynn County Sheriff's Office. She was an active member of Turning Point Church.

Family was everything to Ms. Nettles. She genuinely loved her family and friends. Holidays were louder, gatherings were funnier, and memories were richer because of her. She had a gift for making people feel seen, welcomed, and unconditionally loved. She shared a deep bond with her parents and siblings until she went to her heavenly home.

Ms. Nettles’ greatest joy was being a mother. She had a talent for making the lives of her children special by turning the smallest moments into treasures. Her love for her boys was unconditional and endless. Becoming a grandmother was one of her greatest blessings in life. She cherished her role as “Honey Gege” in the lives of Jaxon and Lola.

Ms. Nettles is survived by her children, Logan Nettles, and Skyler AJ Nettles (Gloria); grandchildren, Jaxon Nettles and Lola Ann Nettles; parents, Eddie and Patricia Cox; siblings, Howard Cox (Jessica), Bonnie Dent (Gerald), and Wendee Kennedy (Dewayne); nieces and nephews, Marshall and Makenzie Cox, Chamberlain and Alina Dent, along with Jack, Isabelle, Gracee, and Mary Margaret Kennedy.

To celebrate her life, Ms. Nettles had requested that everyone attending her service be joyful and wear your favorite colors.
