Letter to the editor

Thanks to all who fought fire

To the editor:

Recently, our family experienced a fire on our property that required immediate response from multiple county and state agencies. We’re profoundly grateful for the swift and professional actions of the Ware County Fire Department, Ware County Sheriff’s Office, and the Georgia Forestry Commission.

Their rapid mobilization, coordination, and dedication ensured the brush fire was quickly contained, preventing further damage, and safeguarding both lives and property. It’s clear their endless hours of training and preparation made all the difference, allowing them to respond correctly and effectively in a moment of crisis.

We also recognize how important it is to have full-time professionals whose expertise and leadership are vital, supported by a cadre of volunteers who stand ready to assist.

This partnership provides both the skill and manpower needed to meet emergencies head-on, reminding us public safety depends not only on those who serve every day, but also on neighbors who step forward when called.

Lastly, we’d like to thank our family members and community friends who came to lend a hand in this difficult time. Their willingness to stand beside us reflects the true spirit of Ware County — a community where people care for one another and rise together in moments of need.

On behalf of our family, we extend heartfelt thanks to each of these agencies, the volunteers, and our friends and loved ones who worked tirelessly to protect our community. Their service and sacrifice do not go unnoticed, and we are proud to call Ware County home.

Sincerely, Fred & Karen Lee SOL Farming
