Satilla Riverkeeper Shannon Gregory has scheduled events in February and March including a benefit gala for those interested in the future of the Satilla River.
The organization’s “Spring Gala” will be held at 5 p.m., Saturday, March 28, at the Blueberry Hill Event Venue, 385 Lynn Holly Lane, Hoboken.
The evening will include dinner, music, an open bar, and both a live auction and a silent auction. Tickets are $150 per person.

Donations also are being sought for an online auction to raise funds to support protection of the waterway. The auction offers an opportunity for program supporters to bid on items and experiences from local businesses.
Items that are easy to mail or can be picked up locally by the winners are encouraged. New or heirloom merchandise, gift certificates, travel accommodations, or professional services are appropriate and much appreciated.
Deadline to present items is Friday, March 13. The value of all donations is tax deductible since the organization holds 501c-3 nonprofit status.

A cleanup session will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, February 21, at various locations along the river. To sign up and choose a cleanup location, visit www.satillariverkeeper. org.
Lastly, the first of four membership paddles for 2026 will be held Saturday, March 7 at the Highway 301 Landing in Brantley County.
Participants will meet at 9 a.m. at the landing and set out approximately 30 minutes later for the oneto two-hour excursion. No paddling experience is required.
