Cynthia Jean Eady, 79, of Waycross, passed away early Saturday afternoon, January 10, 2026, at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House in Waycross.
Born in Jacksonville, FL December 20, 1946, she had lived in Waycross for the past 25 years, the last 10 years as a resident of The White House assisted living. Affectionally known as “Sis”, she had the sweetest soul and never met a stranger. She loved to sing and dance. She was of the Baptist faith and had been a member of several different churches.
She was a daughter of the late Jesse Lee Sr. and Mary McCoy Eady. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Eady and three brothers, Jesse Eady, Richard Patterson and James Patterson.
Survivors include two sisters and a brother-in-law, Bessie and Rick Godwin, Folkston and Patricia Eady, Waycross; a brother, William Eady, Manor and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorialization was by cremation.
