BCHS wrestling in DII pre-lim for state berth
LUDOWICI — Brantley County’s Lady Herons’ wrestling program finished second here Friday in the Area 3 Team Duals tournament hosted by Long County High School.
The Lady Herons turned back Jenkins of Savannah 39-27 in the semifinals January 9. They fell to the host Lady Blue Tide 48-30.
BCHS will wrestle in the Division II prelim Thursday, January 15 for a spot at the eight-team Division II Girls’ State Dual Championship Saturday, January 24 at Lumpkin County High School in Dahlonega.
The Lady Herons’ Aurora Edwards, Cheryl Tencza and Celia Flowers each went 2-0 against Jenkins and Long County. Sage Machado and Madyson Clark posted 1-0 marks. Chloe Kohl finished 1-1.
